Two suitcases and a one way ticket. That is how my Chicago story began. At eighteen, I left Monterrey, Mexico and moved to a city where I did not know a single person. That leap taught me I thrive in new spaces and grow by embracing what is unfamiliar.

Growing up online, thanks to my older sisters, opened the door to cultures, trends, and ideas far beyond my surroundings. It sparked my curiosity and fueled my creativity, from choreographing dances during recess to learning English through pop songs. Expressing myself has always helped me connect with others and understand the world around me.

Today I study Public Relations and Advertising at DePaul University and serve as Vice President of DePaul PRSSA. Storytelling is the center of my work. I believe communication should make people feel seen, understood, and valued. Culture influences how we connect with one another, and I love creating ideas that bring those connections to life.

I love staying active. Solidcore is my favorite way to disconnect for an hour, and whenever I need fresh air, I go for walks by the lake. I grew up figure skating, so movement and expression have always been a big part of my life. Music is another thing that keeps me inspired. I go to concerts all the time, and The 1975 will forever be at the top of my playlist, along with Everything Is Embarrassing by Sky Ferria, which was my #1 streamed song of 2025. Books have also shaped how I see the world. Normal People by Sally Rooney continues to be the one I return to the most.

Travel is another huge part of who I am. I have visited thirty-nine countries so far, and I hope that number keeps growing. Experiencing new places and cultures, trying different foods, and seeing life through other perspectives constantly remind me why I love communication. Every place has its own rhythm and its own way of expressing identity, and discovering that inspires the way I connect and create.

I also have a real love for fashion. Ever since I was young, I pictured myself working in the magazine world, surrounded by creativity. At the same time, I care a lot about doing work that matters and giving back. Getting involved with nonprofits like the Respiratory Health Association and being active in PRSSA has shown me how communication can genuinely help others feel supported and represented.
